Jackson Hole Ekonomi Politikası Sempozyumu’nda Merkez Bankaları Faiz İndirimine Hazırlanıyor
Dünya ekonomisinin en büyük sorunlarından biri olan yüksek enflasyon ve borçlanma maliyetleri, Jackson Hole Ekonomi Politikası Sempozyumu’nda konuşulanlarla birlikte geride kalmaya başlıyor. Dünyanın önde gelen 3 Merkez Bankası yetkilisi, faiz indirimlerine başlayacaklarını veya gelecek aylarda bu indirimleri sürdüreceklerini belirterek küresel ekonominin Kovid-19 pandemisi sonrası enflasyon baskısından kurtulduğunu işaret ettiler.
Merkez bankaları, 2022 yılında başlayan sıkılaştırma sürecine son vereceklerini ve enflasyon yerine istihdamın öncelik haline geldiğini vurguladılar. ABD Merkez Bankası (Fed) Başkanı Jerome Powell, para politikasında ayarlama yapma zamanının geldiğini ifade etti ancak gelecek aylardaki indirimlerin hızına dair net bir mesaj vermedi.
Küresel ekonomi için enflasyonun artık tehdit olmadığını belirten uzmanlar, işgücü piyasasının önemli bir öncelik haline geldiğini belirtiyorlar. Fed’in işgücü piyasasını desteklemek için gerekli adımları atacağını ifade eden Powell, işsizlik oranının artabileceğine dair anketlerin olduğunu ve bu durumun Fed’i daha hızlı indirim yapmaya yönlendirebileceğini belirtti.
Avrupa Merkez Bankası’ndan da önemli mesajlar geldi. Bazı ülkelerin Merkez Bankası yetkilileri, gelecek ay faiz indirimi yapabileceklerini belirtirken Avrupa’da büyüme ve imalat sanayi endişelerine dikkat çektiler. İngiltere Merkez Bankası Başkanı da enflasyonist risklerin azaldığını ancak daha fazla indirime açık olduklarını belirtti.
Kanada, Yeni Zelanda, Çin gibi ülkeler de faiz indirimi kararları aldılar. Japonya ise farklı bir politika izleyerek referans faizini artırdı. Bu gelişmeler, küresel ekonominin yeni bir döneme girdiğini ve enflasyon yerine istihdamın öncelik haline geldiğini gösteriyor.
