Çanakkale’nin Lapseki ilçesinde bu yıl şeftali hasadı başladı ve üreticiler yüzleri güldürüyor. Geçen yıl yaklaşık 90 bin ton şeftali ihraç edilirken, bu yıl bu rakamın 100 bin tona çıkması bekleniyor. Şeftaliler, Lapseki’nin toprak yapısı ve rüzgarının etkisiyle özellikle lezzetli ve büyük bir şekilde yetişiyor. Bu nedenle coğrafi tescilli Lapseki şeftalisi, hem iç pazarda hem de yurt dışında büyük ilgi görüyor. Kilosu 30 ile 35 lira arasında satılan şeftaliler, özellikle Rusya’da büyük rağbet görüyor.
Üretim ve Hasat Durumu
Lapseki ilçesinde bu yıl 40 bin dekar alanda yaklaşık 150 bin ton şeftali üretimi yapılması bekleniyor. Hasadın devam ettiği ilçede, üreticiler fiyatlardan memnun ve bu durumun devam etmesini umuyor. Lapseki’nin geçiş iklimine sahip olması, şeftalinin kalitesini artırıyor ve ihracatta tercih edilmesini sağlıyor. İlçe Tarım ve Orman Müdürü Ali Kaçan, üreticilerin ürünlerini sağlıklı bir şekilde yetiştirdiğini ve ihracatın arttığını belirtiyor. Coğrafi işaret sayesinde ürünlerin farklılığı ortaya çıkıyor ve tüketicilere güvenli ürünler sunuluyor.
Ürün Kalitesi ve Fiyatlar
Üretici Hikmet Şahin, Umurbey’de şeftalinin bol olduğunu ve fiyatların 30 ile 35 lira arasında seyrettiğini söylüyor. Kaliteli ürünlerin iyi fiyatlarla karşılandığını belirten Şahin, fiyattan memnun olduğunu ifade ediyor. Lapseki’nin aranan ürünlerin yetiştirildiği önemli bir bölge olduğunu vurgulayan Kaçan, coğrafi işaretin ürünlerin farklılığını ortaya koyduğunu dile getiriyor.

Lapseki’nin coğrafi konumu ve iklimi, şeftalinin lezzeti ve kalitesi üzerinde olumlu etkiler yaratıyor. Üreticilerin memnun olduğu fiyatlar, ülke ekonomisine de katkı sağlıyor. Umurbey beldesinde ve Lapseki ilçesinde yetiştirilen şeftaliler, hem iç pazarda hem de dış pazarda büyük ilgi görüyor.
