Türkiye Un Sanayicileri Federasyonu (TUSAF) tarafından yapılan açıklamaya göre, Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi’nin (TMO) hububat alımlarına devam ettiği belirtildi. Buğday ithalat yasağının 15 Ekim’e kadar devam edeceği ifade edilen açıklamada, TMO’nun buğday ithalat yasağının üreticilerin menfaatini korumak amacıyla alındığı vurgulandı.
TUSAF Başkanı Tezcan, buğday alım süreci ve ithalat yasağı hakkında yaptığı değerlendirmede, ithalat kısıtlamasının yerli buğdayın daha fazla değerlendirilmesine olanak sağlayacağını belirtti. Ayrıca TMO’nun geçen yıl 13,5 milyon ton buğday satın aldığını, bu yıl da yoğun alımlara devam ettiğini ve ithalat kısıtlamasının sanayicilerin daha fazla alım yapmasını teşvik edeceğini dile getirdi.
Tezcan, sektörün ihracat potansiyeline de dikkat çekerek, yılın ilk 5 ayında yaklaşık 604 milyon dolarlık ihracat gerçekleştirdiklerini ve yıl sonunda 1,5 milyar dolarlık ihracat hedeflediklerini belirtti. Haziran ayında yürürlüğe giren buğday ithalat yasağı ve bayram tatilinin etkisiyle ihracatın düştüğünü ancak temmuz ayında hasadın tamamlanmasıyla ihracatın artabileceğini söyledi. Ayrıca buğday ithalat kısıtlamasının etkilerinin ilerleyen dönemlerde daha net görüleceğine işaret etti.
