Avrupa Otomobil Üreticileri Birliği (ACEA) tarafından açıklanan verilere göre, AB ülkelerinde ağustos ayında yeni otomobil satışları geçen yılın aynı dönemine göre yüzde 18,3 düşerek 643 bin 637 adet olarak gerçekleşti. Bu satışlarda benzinli araçlar yüzde 33,1, hibrit araçlar yüzde 31,3, elektrikli araçlar yüzde 14,4, dizel araçlar yüzde 11,2, fişli (Plug-In) hibrit araçlar yüzde 7,1 ve diğer yakıt türlerindeki araçlar yüzde 2,9 pay aldı.
Elektrikli otomobillerin ağustos ayındaki satışları geçen yılın aynı dönemine göre yüzde 43,9 azalarak 92 bin 627 adet oldu. Bu durum, elektrikli otomobillerin toplam satışlardaki payının hızla azaldığını gösterdi.
AB’de en fazla yeni otomobil satışını Volkswagen Grubu yaparken, Stellantis Grubu, Renault Grubu ve Hyundai Grubu da sırasıyla diğer önemli satıcılar arasında yer aldı.
Avrupa otomotiv endüstrisi, elektrikli araçlara olan talebin azalmasına karşı acil eylem çağrısında bulundu. ACEA, AB kurumlarının 2025’te yürürlüğe girecek yeni karbon hedefleri öncesinde sektörün sıfır emisyonlu araç üretimini artırmak için gereken koşulların sağlanması gerektiğini belirtti. Bu durumda sektörün ve politika yapıcıların acil tedbirler alması gerektiği vurgulandı.
